Why You Don’t Need To Reinvent The Wheel
Aspiring entrepreneurs of today’s day and age often believe that to be successful, one must reinvent the wheel. Fortunately, that’s not the case.
Living in a society where innovation is around every corner, it’s easy to get lost in the midst of trying to come up with the next big thing. Everyone wants to become the next Mark Zuckerberg or Elon Musk, but very few people really take the time to look at the opportunities that surround them.
Sometimes, all it takes is a bit of creativity in order to take an existing product and repackage it into something new.
Perhaps Edmond Mbiaka said it best, “Opportunities are all around us, but the problem is that most people often look with their physical eyes instead of their mental vision.”
The following is only one of many creative examples of how one individual took resources that were available to him and turned it into something more.
Since Amazon’s existence, the company in itself has created endless opportunities for those who are searching. People can go into stores such as Walmart, Target, Winners, and so on, buy products that are on clearance, and sell them for twice as much through the Amazon market place.
28-year-old Ryan Grant is doing just that. Only four years after quitting his accounting job, he has been able to turn his side-hustle of flipping products into a full-time position. Now, a couple of years down the line, Ryan has been able to employ 11 other people to work by his side and is making well over six figures in profit each year.

It’s easy to get distracted by the ever-changing society we live in today, don’t let it fool you into believing that reinventing the wheel is the only path to success. Opportunities lie all around us; but only those who really look for them will be able to seize them.
